WM Building Services were responsible for the mechanical and electrical design, installation and commissioning of the industrial development at Wedgewood Way, Stevenage, comprising a warehouse unit with associated two-storey office accommodation.

The office areas are served by a zonal heating and cooling system, providing flexible environmental control to suit occupancy. Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery supplies fresh air to office areas, with dedicated extract to toilets and welfare facilities.

Domestic services include localised hot water generation, above ground drainage systems and a mains water leak detection system to monitor incoming supply.

Electrical services were delivered to support both office and warehouse functions, including power distribution, lighting and emergency lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm system and infrastructure for future technologies such as electric vehicle charging and photovoltaics. Office areas were designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for future reconfiguration.
